Caleb and Tina, who own Rewind, reached out about hosting me. I'd been painting on canvas at the time, and decided to build something instead.
The whole piece is about juxtaposition. One side is Caravaggio's Entombment of Christ. The other is the LEGO logo. A graffiti motif bridges them, and it doesn't spell anything — it's there to pull your eye from one side around to the other, so you have to walk the piece to see it.

Multi-medium. The LEGO side and the graffiti were hand-painted. The Entombment is a large-scale canvas print mounted to the wooden fixture. Furniture City Customs built that fixture, and the piece doesn't stand up without them.
